Due dates....yawn

So it's the eve of 2/28 and what else would we be doing but watching the Oscar's from last night on the DVR.  Maybe our little guy just needed a March birthday like his mom. :)  So, after a tasty dinner of Indian food and a little couch time...we head into March and eagerly wait for our lives to be turned upside down and inside out.

Still baking

Both Kristine and the baby are still baking.  Kristine in the bakery's oven and baby in Kristine's.

It's our due date!

What does a woman do on her due date?  Goes to work!  About 40 weeks pregnant and still working.  Hardcore.

Katy and Liz feel the baby.

Aunt Katy and Aunt Liz got up close and personal with our little man this evening.  Not wanting to feel the belly at first...they finally agreed.  Great night of pizza and conversation with our awesome friends!  They also saw the bottom of a belly button for the first time!  :)

Let the Old Wives' Tales begin...

Trying to induce labor, Kristine and I
have hit up our favorite Pho restaurant to add a little spice to our diet.  After dinner, we're going to drive over a very bumpy road and several sets of railroad tracks.  Maybe one of these will work?  Just kidding...we don't want to bounce him out of Kristine.

Let's pull one out of our hat

2011 is the year of the Rabbit according to the Chinese Zodiac.  If all holds true...our little fella will be perfect.  We're pretty sure that he's going to be perfect anyway though.  Until he's a teen.

Sugar Cookie Mania!

Kristine making sugar cookies for the bakery.  Pregnant for like 10 months and still working!  What a rockstar.

2/24...4 Days away

Kristine wasn't feeling very good last night or this morning.  I walked to work so that she could sleep in.  I've spoken to a lot of mom's since opening the bakery and especially since we're expecting our own child.  Most of them say that they felt ill a couple of days before labor/delivery.  Maybe our little man will introduce himself this weekend?

6 days and counting

Another doctor's visit this morning.  I think Kristine and I are both ready for this pregnancy to be over.  We're both really excited to meet our son and constantly ask ourselves what we think he's going to be like.  Curly hair?  Tall?  Personality?  All of these questions will be answered soon enough...but it's fun to wonder what he'll be like.  Today's visit information -  Blood Pressure: Good.  Pulse: Good.  Belly measuring at 38".  Baby Heart Rate:  160's.  Cervix check:  Barely dilated...maybe about 1cm  but Dr. Nelson can't really feel it because it is still sitting posterior.  We'll have to wait until next week.

Day off waffles

Kristine making dinner for Mitch, baby and herself.  Due date countdown: 1 week.

Celebrity status

Kristine, baby and Mitch with Senator George McGovern.  Queen City Bakery truly is the best...even presidential candidates agree.

Baby needs mama to have a new pair of shoes

Bought mama a new pair of shoes last night.  She just needs a little more comfort now.  Stylin' kicks mom!

Our little robber...

Mom and baby pretending to be robbers at Scheel's.  Oh, the fun we'll have!

9 Days...

So we're at the mall this afternoon.  Gotta get a few more baby clothes before our world is rocked by a newborn.  Found some cute stuff at Baby Gap...Kristine couldn't stop herself and our bag is full.  I'm already afraid at the amount of baby/child stuff that we have.  I can only imagine what our house will look like in a couple of years.  I'm not gonna lie though...I'm SUPER excited to meet our son!

A little squeeze

Kristine has had more contractions today than any other day.  We're definitely getting closer.

Look at the size of this!

Yes...that is how small newborn diaper is!

T-Minus 13 days and counting...

The due date of our little guy is a little less than 2 weeks from now.  Having our routine weekly doctor visit this morning.  Blood pressure: Good.  Pulse: Good.  Baby Heart Rate: 150's.  Cervix measuring at 37".  Dialated just a little bit...maybe about a 1 or so.  It is still sitting posterior...because his head is so low, our doc couldn't even really feel the cervix during the exam.
